A smooth, clean grey finish. The most affordable, timeless option.

Brushed

$99–$150/m²

A lightly textured, non-slip finish that's great for sloped sites.

Pave cut

From $110/m²

Saw-cut patterns that give plain concrete the look of pavers or tiles.

Coloured

$150–$250/m²

Oxide colouring through or over the concrete to suit your home's palette.

Exposed aggregate

$150–$250/m²

Washed back to reveal the stones for a textured, skid-resistant finish.

The biggest cost driver usually isn't the finish on top, it's the groundwork underneath: excavation, base prep, drainage and any vehicle crossing. The only way to get an accurate number for your property is a free on-site quote.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

How much does a concrete driveway cost in Auckland?
A plain concrete driveway in Auckland typically costs around $90–$150 per square metre supplied and laid, with coloured and exposed aggregate finishes generally running $150–$250 per square metre. On top of the surface there's usually site prep, excavation, a compacted base, formwork and sometimes drainage or a vehicle crossing, so a standard residential driveway often lands between roughly $6,000 and $12,000+. The biggest cost driver is usually what's underneath, not the finish on top.
How long does it take to install a concrete driveway?
Most residential concrete driveways take about 2–4 days of on-site work, depending on size, site prep and weather. That covers excavation and base prep, boxing and reinforcing, the pour and finish, and tidy-up. The concrete then needs time to cure before use.
What about my current driveway?
We are concrete experts. This extends to concrete cutting, removal of existing concrete, measuring and digging out, boxing and preparation for the new driveway. We handle the entire process, start to finish.
Will my driveway have proper drainage?
We take drainage seriously. Your driveway installation is planned with proper drainage and appropriate concrete thickness to optimise runoff and prevent pooling.
How long before I can walk or drive on a new concrete driveway?
You can usually walk on it carefully after 24–48 hours, but you should keep vehicles off for about 7 days, and the concrete reaches full strength at around 28 days. Driving on it too early is the most common way new driveways get damaged.
Do I need council consent for a concrete driveway in Auckland?
The driveway surface itself on your own property generally doesn't need building consent, but the vehicle crossing, the section between the road/kerb and your boundary, usually needs approval from Auckland Transport. We help you understand what's required for your site as part of the quote.
Does a concrete driveway need steel reinforcing?
Yes. Reinforcing (steel mesh, and sometimes fibre or rebar for heavier loads) is what controls cracking and gives the slab long-term strength. Every driveway we pour is reinforced appropriately for its load and site conditions.
Will my concrete driveway crack?
All concrete can develop fine surface cracks over time, but proper base preparation, reinforcing, and correctly placed control joints keep cracking to a minimum and largely cosmetic. Good preparation is the difference between a driveway that lasts decades and one that fails early.
How long does a concrete driveway last?
A properly installed concrete driveway typically lasts 25–30 years or more with minimal maintenance. Longevity comes down to the base prep, reinforcing, concrete quality and drainage, all things we get right from the start.
Do you offer free quotes?
Yes. We provide free, no-obligation on-site consultations and quotes. We come to your property, assess the site, talk through finishes and options, and give you a clear written price.
